The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration will perform routine maintenance and inspection of the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge in southern Maryland, which carries state Route 4 between Calvert and St. Mary’s counties.
This work is part of SHA’s bridge inspection program.
Single-lane closures will occur between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26, weather permitting. Flagpersons will alternate traffic in one lane of the two-lane bridge during the inspection and maintenance.
