LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Emergency crews responded Monday afternoon to reports of a tree that had fallen on a man in Leonardtown.

First responders were dispatched at about 2:35 p.m., Sept. 15, 2025, to a residence on Swans Court, where an adult male was reported trapped and possibly not breathing. Emergency medical services pronounced the victim dead at the scene shortly after arrival.

Authorities have not released the man’s identity, pending notification of family. Details surrounding how the tree came down were not immediately clear.

The incident remains under investigation.
