UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash that took place in the unincorporated section of Upper Marlboro. The deceased driver is 27-year-old Darin Burns Jr. of Upper Marlboro.
On December 25, 2024, at approximately 3:20 am, officers responded to the 12000 block of Duley Station Road for a single vehicle crash. Once on scene, they located Burns Jr. in his vehicle. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed Burns Jr. was traveling southbound on Duley Station Road when his vehicle lost control and struck a tree.
