ย Shortly before 7 p.m. Monday, a fire broke out in an unoccupied trailer at Coster and McCready roads in Lusby, drawing volunteer firefighters from Calvert and St. Maryโ€™s counties.

ย Within minutes the mobile home was gutted by fire, and firefighters drenched the demolished trailer.

ย Some neighbors rejoiced at seeing the familiar trailer go up in flames. The โ€œunoccupiedโ€ trailer was known to be a โ€œcrack house”, according to a neighbor on the scene.

ย The Maryland State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office is investigating. The cause is yet unknown. The fire was discovered by a passer-by.

ย The dollar amount of damage was estimated at $2,000 by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
