Jerome Antonio Herbert, 21, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. C. Evans at 12:05 a.m. March 23, on Route 237 south of Robinson Lane in Great Mills for possession of Cocaine.
Herbert was operating a silver Pontiac Grand Am when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit.
As Herbert was bringing the vehicle to a full stop, the Trooper observed a small plastic baggie of Cocaine being thrown from the driver’s side.
The plastic bag of Cocaine was located in the north bound lane of Route 237 across from Robinson Lane.
Herbert was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and detained pending a bond review.
