UPDATE 

Two people, including the suspected shooter, are dead after a shooting at an Oxon Hill liquor store Wednesday afternoon, police say.

On Aug. 1, at 1:15 p.m., an armed suspect fatally shot a victim inside a liquor store in the area of Livingston Road and Oxon Hill Road. A nearby officer heard the gunshots and confronted the suspect who was running outside the store. The armed suspect began running towards the officer when the officer fired his weapon, killing the suspect. A gun (pictured above) was found by the suspects body. 

The events leading up to the initial shooting remain under investigation.

OXON HILL, Md. – The PG County Police Department is responding to the 6200 block of Livingston Road, Oxon Hill for the report of an officer involved shooting. Livingston Road at Oxon Hill Road is closed in all directions. Police advise motorists to avoid the area. This is a developing story.
