INDIAN HEAD, Md. — Two men were injured Friday morning when a trash truck overturned at the intersection of Smallwood Church Road and Marvin Drive in Indian Head.
The crash was reported around 10:00 a.m. Feb. 20, 2026, as a motor vehicle collision involving a large vehicle. First responders arrived to find the trash truck on its side in the roadway at Marvin Drive and Chicamuxen Road.
Officials confirmed both occupants were out of the vehicle and no one was trapped.
A 38-year-old man was transported to UM Charles Regional Medical Center in stable condition. A 32-year-old man was taken to UM Capital Region Medical Center, a trauma center, for further evaluation.
Emergency crews remained on scene for an extended period while managing the wreck and roadway conditions.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
