Child Airlifted After Two-Vehicle Collision In Huntingtown

HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — At approximately 1:33 p.m. on July 27, 2024, emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Plum Point Road and Woodlow Drive following reports of a serious motor vehicle accident with injuries.

Upon arrival, crews found all individuals involved had exited their vehicles. EMS assessed three patients at the scene and requested a MEDEVAC for an injured child. Firefighters quickly established a landing zone nearby for Maryland State Police, Trooper 7.

Child Airlifted After Two-Vehicle Collision In Huntingtown

One patient was transported to Calvert Health for treatment. The pediatric patient was flown to Children’s National Hospital for further care.

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

    Speed cameras are required

  2. Idea there ,,, have cameras every 200 yards ,, that will stop them ,,
    and that’s the only way you’ll stop them ,,, Put one up and they just slow down and speed right back up ,, proof at Beach Elementary on Rt 261…
