Two Injured, One Trapped In Serious Leonardtown Collision

LEONARDTOWN, Md. – A serious crash Tuesday afternoon sent two people to the hospital at a busy intersection in Leonardtown.

At approximately 3:51 p.m. on May 6, 2025, first responders were dispatched to the intersection of Point Lookout Road and Hollywood Road following reports of a two-vehicle collision. When fire and rescue units arrived, they found one vehicle had struck an electrical transformer box, while a second vehicle had an occupant trapped inside.

Working quickly, firefighters removed the passenger doors of the damaged vehicle to extricate the injured person. EMS crews evaluated several individuals at the scene and ultimately transported two patients to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.

Drivers were advised to use caution in the area and expect delays.
