PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Homicide detectives in Prince George’s County are investigating two fatal shootings that occurred just a day apart, leaving two 30-year-old men dead in separate incidents that authorities do not believe were random.
The first shooting occurred on Friday, November 15, 2024, in Suitland. Officers responded to the 3500 block of Parkway Terrace Drive at approximately 5:45 p.m. and found Brian Speaks of Suitland inside an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second incident unfolded on Saturday, November 16, 2024, in Oxon Hill. At approximately 10:00 p.m., officers were called to the 7300 block of Roanne Drive, where they discovered Denis Zepeda Cruz of Oxon Hill outside with gunshot wounds. He was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are actively working to identify suspects and determine motives in both cases. Authorities have emphasized that neither incident appears to be random.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to arrests and indictments in both cases.
