At 2:45 P.M. on May 27, 2011, rescue crews from Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department Co. 7, Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad Co. 79, Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad Co. 29, and Hughesville Volunteer Rescue Squad Co. 2 EMS were dispatched for the rescue assignment on the 26000 block of Three Notch Road. Company 7 responded with Squad 7 and Company 29 with Ambulance 299. Upon arrival, one vehicle was pulled onto the shoulder while the other vehicle pulled into a near by parking lot. Crews operated on scene for 14 minutes and transported one patient to St. Mary’s Hospital.
