On August 18, at 12:59 a.m., TFC M. J. Pitcher conducted a traffic stop in the area of Maryland Route 4 and Maryland Route 235 on a 2007 Volvo for a traffic violation.
Upon making contact with the driver, Emily Jean Lang, 20 of California, TFC Pitcher detected the odor of alcohol emitting from Lang’s breath. A field sobriety test resulted in the arrest of Emily Lang for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
A search incident to arrest revealed CDS Paraphernalia on Lang’s person. Lang was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack for DUI processing and then transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center to be charged accordingly reference the CDS.
Lang was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
