ย
The 21st Century Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland (BGCSM) at Green Holly Elementary will be participating in Vision Walk for a Cure June 4, 2011 in Baltimore, MD. The walk is to help raise money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness for the over 10 million Americans that are affected by blinding retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, and Usher Syndrome. This is a very personal event because one of our own members, James Quade, was born blind and is afflicted with toxoplasmosis and cytomegalovirus. He recently underwent surgery in December 2010 to remove one eye. His had the other eye removed back in 2007. He is an incredible inspiration to all of the kids in his school and those in the after school program he participates in daily. Please help us Walk for a Cure by logging on to www.visionwalk.org. by going ย to โsponsorโ and click on our team Bright Futures! ย Please help the Foundation Fighting Blindness to help make the world a brighter place for millions of Americans. Please join us in Vision Walk 2011, a cure is in sight!
