PRINCE FREDERICK, Md.Mrs. Moo’s Corner at Spider Hall Farm is hosting its inaugural “Jingle All the Hay” event this month to celebrate the holidays with lights, rides and special visitors. This is one winter event you won’t want to miss.

“Jingle All the Hay” is an event by Mrs. Moo’s Corner, a popular ice cream stand and gift shop at 3915 Hallowing Point Road, Prince Frederick. The event takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 28, with entry times from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $19 per person; kids 2 and under are free. Your ticket includes hay rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, a petting zoo with goats and mini highland cows, a visit with Santa and much more. You can learn more about the event and buy tickets online.

The BayNet got to check out “Jingle All the Hay” over the gorgeous snowy weekend, and the team really knew how to give the crowd everything they wanted to create a warm, magical winter wonderland for all ages. Here are some highlights that made it special.

Hay Ride

The hay ride through the lights is magical and a great way to see the full display. The hay ride is included, and it feels like you discover something new along the journey each time. It gets chilly, so make sure to bundle up if you’re planning to enjoy the hay ride — or bring along a warm cider or hot chocolate.

Animals

The animal visitors are sweet and ready to see guests. The animals may change depending on the weather and availability, but the miniature highland cows were a huge hit and looked the part in the wintry weather. The goats, however, were a bit more interested in modeling.

Santa Visit

Santa is set up in his own little house, complete with Christmas trees and a North Pole mailbox. Though Santa draws a crowd, stepping into his workshop is a warm and toasty respite from the cold. But be careful — you might see a Santa imposter who’s still trying to make his way off the naughty list.

Local Vendors

In Southern Maryland, we love supporting local crafters and entrepreneurs. Local vendors were on site selling food, drinks, adult drinks and custom homemade gifts. We loved seeing everyone staying true to the Christmas theme (or not) with custom cocktails and crafts.

Sponsored Trees

If you grab some of Mrs. Moo’s fresh-baked cookies or other treats from their gift shop, make sure to check out the beautiful sponsored trees lining the porch. Local businesses sponsored and decorated a tree. Not only were the trees beautiful, but it was special to see how each business lent its unique creative touch. Also, a great way to find your new orthodontist.

“Jingle All the Hay” had plenty of family-friendly activities packed with people of all ages. A gingerbread house-making station, a craft station and a snowball fight area were popular with guests. The event also has a jump pad, ice skating and plenty of holiday photo opportunities for family and friends. There was so much to enjoy we might just have to visit again.
