HUNTINGTOWN, Md. – On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in the early morning hours, deputies from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau responded to a reported burglary in progress at a business in Dunkirk.

As deputies arrived, a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle’s description fled southbound on Route 4. Deputies successfully deployed stop sticks, disabling the vehicle by deflating its tires. The vehicle ultimately came to a stop in the area of Walton Road in Huntingtown.

Three suspects fled from the vehicle on foot. At this time, no suspect descriptions are available. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Detectives are asking residents in the Huntingtown area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. Anyone who observes suspicious activity or has Ring doorbell or other surveillance footage that may assist investigators is asked to contact Detective Thomas Buckler at Thomas.Buckler@calvertcountymd.gov.
