At 5:54 pm on Friday, Jan. 27, TFC J. Linger observed a vehicle on S. Sandgates Road, Mechanicsville, displaying a suspicious tag. A check through MVA indicated that the registration had expired on 4/05. The vehicle was displaying stickers with 2007 expiration.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as Calvin Lee Davis, 41, of Glenarden.
A check through NCIC indicated the sticker had been reported stolen on November 08, 2005. A check through MVA and MILES/NCIC on Davis indicated that his license and privilege was suspended, and he had a warrant for his arrest.
Davis was arrested and taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
