Due to rainy weather conditions, Washington Avenue paving originally scheduled for September 28 has been rescheduled to occur on Thursday, October 6.
Citizens are advised that the Town of La Plata is planning to pave the section of Washington Avenue between Talbot Street and Caroline Drive on Thursday, October 6, starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. One lane will be paved at a time, and flaggers will alternate traffic in order to maintain two-way traffic.
Citizens should expect delays and drive slowly through the construction area. The date for the paving project may be postponed due to inclement weather.
