On Aug. 8 at 12:03 p.m., the owner of a residence in the 4700 block of Ford Court in White Plains returned home and discovered the front door had been opened. The homeowner found a juvenile male and a young adult male in his home. The intruders had taken the homeownerโ€™s X-Box 360 and a game controller and placed them into plastic bags. The juvenile attempted to escape through a back door but was unable to open it. The homeowner called the Charles County Sheriffโ€™s Office and officers responded and arrested the intruders. Jared Mathew Kimble, 22, and the 14-year-old boy, both of White Plains, were charged with first-degree burglary and attempted theft valued at less than $1,000. Kimble was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner. The juvenile was charged as such and was released to a parent. Officer K. Syvertsen investigated.
