Beverly first took pictures with her mother’s Kodak box camera when she was six. She grew up in the farming area around Galesburg, IL where she developed a love of small towns, open fields, main streets, fairs, parades, animals and people. Other photo interests include architectural, experimental, portraits, travel, and photojournalist coverage of events and gatherings.

Beverly has lived in the region since graduating from the University of Maryland. Her career interests includes her own public relations and marketing firm based in Washington, D.C., she also served on staff at Children’s Hospital, the National Institutes of Health, Wolf Trap, Smithsonian and the American Psychological Association. Beverly was editor of the White House News Photographers Awards Book and was a founder of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

As Blue Wind owner, Rob Plant states, โ€œWe are very glad to welcome Beverly Jackson to the series both for her notable photographic talents as well as her philanthropic efforts. The work of the Patuxent Habitat for Humanity improves the lives for all residents within our community and it is through the strength of these partnerships that all can share in the rewards of living here in Southern Marylandโ€, continued Plant.

foods and wines. Special additions such as signed prints from the artists and other offerings will also be included. A donation of $10.00 is requested for the tasting. All proceeds go directly to the programs of the Patuxent Habitat for Humanity.

Patuxent Habitat, whose stated mission is to bring people from all walks of life together in helping their neighbors to realize better lives by providing decent, affordable housing in both Calvert and St. Maryโ€™s Counties, has built nine homes since 2003 for families who would not otherwise realize the dream of homeownership. PHH partners with local volunteers and businesses to build homes which are then purchased by the families using no-interest loans.
