Tickle your taste buds at Civista’s 11th annual Autumn Wine Tasting. For the past 10 years the Civista Health Foundation has hosted its annual Wine Tasting event to raise funds for the Civista Medical Cent in La Plata.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. on the grounds of the historic Port Tobacco Courthouse. Participants will peak their palette with exquisite wines, gourmet foods, and several specialty bars including martini and coffee bars. In addition, participants will have an opportunity to attend wine seminars by leading connoisseurs, enjoy soft cocktail music, and participate in the famed silent auction and wine boutique.
The committee’s goal is to raise $60,000 to help fund necessary renovations of the Pharmacy which provides critical services to hundreds of patients. Over the year’s, the Civista Health Foundation has raised over $6.6 million in funds that have supported programs to expand services and technology at the Civista Medical Center.
The committee and the Foundation believe that moderation is key to the full enjoyment of the spirits and are also offering designated driver tickets at $35 per person.
