Dozens of families took advantage of Calvert Marine Museum’s annual Winter Lights Festival held Saturday and Sunday on Solomon’s Island.
The kids were entertained making gingerbread and ice cream cone lighthouses while the parents toured the real thing outside the Calvert Marine Museum and browsed artifacts and exhibits in the museum.
There were lectures, photo booths, gifts, live music and guided tours of the Drum Point Lighthouse outside. Kids participated in other lighthouse crafts all day Sunday, and later listened to maritime stories.
