HOLLYWOOD, Md. — A 26-year-old woman was airlifted to a trauma center early Tuesday after being bitten by a dog in Hollywood.
Emergency personnel responded at approximately 2:55 a.m. July 28, 2026, to the 41900 block of Satchel Paige Way for a reported animal bite.
Initial reports indicated the woman suffered a bite to her arm. Police arrived and secured the scene while fire and EMS personnel treated the patient.
A medevac was requested, and Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 7 flew the woman to UM Capital Region Medical Center with serious injuries.
Animal control was contacted regarding whether the dog would be picked up.
