St. Mary’s County Deputy Schultz stopped a 2001 Ford Taurus on March 23 for a traffic violation on Chancellor’s Run Road in the area of Longfields Boulevard.
The operator and sole occupant, identified as Jennifer Lee Boone, 31, of Lexington Park, was subsequently placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.
She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and a further search was conducted on her person.
During the search, a straw containing suspected Xanax was recovered. Boone was charged with DUI, Possession Controlled Dangerous Substance – Not Marijuana, Possession Paraphernalia, and Possession CDS Place of Confinement.
