On May 31, at 1:24 a.m., Tpr. J. Gibson responded to the 38000 block of Cobrums Wharf Road in Avenue for the reported check welfare.
Upon arrival, Tpr. Gibson made contact with the male complainant, 31 of Avenue. He advised he was assaulted by Shannon Lynn Massey, 31 of Avenue. Both parties were interviewed and Massey was taken into custody.
She was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with second-degree assault and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
