On Dec. 28, a woman went to the home of her former boyfriend Robert Carlton Burns, Jr., 58 of Leonardtown, to pick up her personal belongings. Once at the residence, a dispute ensued over property, at which time Burns Jr., pointed a handgun and threatened to shoot the woman if she did not leave the residence.
Two other people (victims) were at the residence to help the woman, and Burns also pointed the gun at them. Robert Carlton Burns Jr., was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of second-degree assault.
