ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A 15-year-old boy was arrested Friday night after allegedly attempting to rob a 7-Eleven with what turned out to be a replica rifle, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Officers responded at approximately 9:20 p.m. on March 14, 2025 to reports of a robbery in progress at the convenience store on 71 Bestgate Road. Authorities said a male suspect, dressed entirely in black, entered the store and pointed what appeared to be a rifle at the clerk.
Before the suspect could make any demands, the clerk fled to an office and called police. The suspect then left the store.
Responding officers quickly located a male matching the suspect’s description nearby and took him into custody. Police said he was positively identified and found to be carrying a replica firearm.
The juvenile, whose name has not been released due to his age, was arrested and charged.
