The Annual Marcey House Benefit Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, May 27 at the Wicomico Shores Municipal Golf Course with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. The Early-Bird Putting Contest starts at 7:30 a.m.
The title sponsor, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), and associate sponsors; Metrocast, SMECO, Verizon, PNC Bank, Washington Gas and Wal-Mart have joined up to host this day of fun to benefit The Marcey House residential, rehabilitative treatment facility for recovering substance abusers.
The honored guest will be Tubby Smith, University of Minnesota Golden Gophers Men’s Head Basketball Coach and the event will feature raffles, gift certificates for men and women closest to the pin, and longest drive. A delicious buffet lunch will be provided by The Riverview Restaurant and prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams. There will be many chances throughout the day to win a variety of sensational prizes.
The 2010 tournament raised more than $18,000.00 to support Marcey House, an adult all male Level-III.1 Clinically Managed Low Intensity Residential Treatment Facility providing substance abuse services.
