22-Year-Old Killed After Head-On Collision In Anne Arundel County

GLEN BURNIE, Md. – A 22-year-old man was killed early Wednesday morning in a head-on collision in Glen Burnie after his vehicle reportedly crossed into oncoming traffic.

The accident occurred shortly after midnight on November 6, 2024, near the intersection of Dorsey Road and Asphalt Road. According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, a 2004 Acura RSX, driven by Melvin Obdulio Jimenez Y Jimenez of Silver Spring, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Dorsey Road when it collided head-on with an eastbound 2015 FRHT box truck.

Jimenez Y Jimenez sustained severe injuries and was transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the box truck, a 42-year-old man from Pasadena, Maryland, suffered minor injuries and was also transported to an area trauma center for evaluation. He is expected to recover.
