
RIDGE, Md. — A golf cart crash in Ridge left multiple people injured and required two to be airlifted to hospitals on June 1, 2024.
Fire and rescue personnel responded to the incident in the 49000 block of Wynne Road around 10:55 a.m. On arrival, they found a flipped golf cart with several injured occupants who were conscious.
Emergency medical services evaluated the situation and called for a medical evacuation for two of the patients. Firefighters set up a nearby landing zone nearby for Maryland State Police, Trooper 2.
The two airlifted patients — a 3-year-old girl and a 49-year-old man — were transported to Children’s National Hospital Center and the UM Capitol Region Medical Center respectively for treatment. Another woman was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for care.
The crash is still under investigation by the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack.
