UPDATE: 5 Dead After Murder, Suicide In La Plata; GoFundMe Created For Victims
LA PLATA, Md. – Today, around 4 pm, officers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and La Plata Police Department responded to a single family home in the 3000 block of Wildflower Drive in La Plata for the report of a shooting.
When officers entered the house, they located five people who were deceased. All of the victims appear to be adults.
Investigators are working to establish the identities and the relationships between everyone involved.
At this this time, the incident appears to be isolated to the residence.

It doesn’t surprise me but it’s just horrible and sad.
I don’t even know if “Sad” describes this incident. Why can’t we all just be Happy & Enjoy Life…? Prayers to the family…
We are observing the demise of our country community by community. We all know that this is an epidemic and the grief and sorrow from one family to another is destroying our faith and morals. Oh, children don’t you weep don’t you moan.
Hard to keep the faith when God keeps treating us like Job. I’m not as strong as Job and He damn well knows it.
This surely isn’t political. These were our close friends that lived in Michigan before. I used to babysit Sara and Kai and we used to hangout with Sunny and cook together so often. Wonderful people and they will be sourly missed by all of us. Sara has two little kids that are left behind now. Say a prayer for this family, and our friends. Don’t spread hatefulness and political jargon for them. This is a tragedy of epic proportions. To get this call yesterday was hysterical.
Charles Country wasn’t like this before the great migration from DC of the folks who no longer can afford to live there. So rich folks, displacing poorer folks, who move to areas they can afford and bring DC crime with them…unless you move to the Midwest this is what we have to look forward to.
