WALDORF, Md. — A 70-year-old man was flown to a trauma center Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle along Leonardtown Road in Waldorf.

The incident was reported at 7:15 a.m. in the 3300 block of Leonardtown Road, across from Goldie Farm Place. Callers advised that the man had been hit by a car. When first responders arrived, they found the man conscious and breathing but suffering from multiple injuries.

EMS immediately requested a medevac due to the severity of his injuries.

According to early information, the driver involved was a Thomas Stone High School student who remained on the scene and was not injured.

Firefighters established a landing zone at Thomas Stone High School for Maryland State Police helicopter Trooper 2. The patient was flown to MedStar Washington Hospital Center’s trauma unit for further treatment.

Police continue to investigate the collision.
