WALDORF, Md. – On April 18, at approximately 8:09 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident involving a dump truck on Billingsley Road at the intersection of Piney Chruch Road. 

Crews arrived and found a dump truck overturned and an SUV on fire with multiple occupants injured. Firefighters quickly extinguished the vehicle fire. Hazmat teams and a sand truck were requested for fluid spills in the roadway.

EMS evaluated two patients on the scene for chest pain and headaches. One patient was transported to Charles Regional Medical Center and the second patient was rerouted to Capital Regional Trauma Center. 

Police continue to investigate the incident.

  1. Unbelievable! Overturning a dump truck should be a firing offense (If it’s that driver’s fault).
    And please stay out of the left lanes on Mattawoman Beantown road!
