
WALDORF, Md. – On February 25, 2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., fire and rescue personnel responded to a structure fire on Dorset Drive near Jubilee Way. The 911 dispatch center received multiple calls reporting visible flames.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a shed behind a townhouse had been completely burned to the ground. The Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded with 10 firefighters and was brought under control within 10 minutes. There have been no injuries reported in relation to the incident.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal was immediately notified and requested at the scene to take over the investigation. Early estimates indicate that both the structure and contents of the shed amount to a loss of around $500, with each estimated at $250.
The fire was first discovered by the owner of the property, originating from the exterior of the shed.
