CALVERT COUNTY

Children’s Theatre of Southern Maryland Presents: Sweeney Todd-School Edition on November 15 (7 pm) and November 16 (1 pm & 6 pm) located at Calvert Middle School, 655 Chesapeake Blvd. Prince Frederick, MD – Step into the dark, thrilling world of Fleet Street this fall as the Children’s Theatre of Southern Maryland presents Sweeney Todd: School Edition. This special adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s iconic musical tells the chilling tale of Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, in a way that’s crafted for young performers and audiences. Tickets are required.

Christmas Bazaar Vendor Show on November 16 (9 am to 3 pm), located at Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department, 13150 HG Trueman Rd, Solomons, MD – Come out and get your Holidays Gifts and Decor!!

Railway Museum Sweet Treat Express on November 16 (2 pm to 3:30 pm), located at Northeast Community Center, 4075 Gordon Stinnett Ave, Chesapeake Beach, MD – Bring your family and come build some sweet train engines out of candy and treats with us! No reservations required. Drop-ins welcome. Free and open to the public. Meet at the Northeast Community Center in the Exercise Room (upstairs).

Holiday Craft Fair on November 17 (9 am to 3 pm), located at Huntingtown High School, 4125 N Solomons Island Rd, Huntingtown, MD – Join us for a festive day of holiday shopping with over 75 unique vendors! Enjoy food trucks, sweet treats and fun activities for the whole family. Meet Santa and The Grinch, and let the kids get creative at our craft station. Don’t miss out on basket raffles and more! Free admission.

Calvert County Farmers Market – CalvertHealth, Prince Frederick taking place every Tuesday throughout November 26 (2:30 pm to 6:30 pm), located at CalvertHealth Medical Center, 130 Hospital Road, Prince Frederick, MD – Buying local is easy with an abundance of fresh food from Calvert County’s farmers, agri-businesses and watermen. Patrons can find local produce, meat, bedding plants (vegetables and herbs) and a bounty of other offerings at these “producer only” markets. Small Business Mixer & Gift Card Raffle on November 19 (6:30 pm to 9 pm), located at Mr. C’s Cigar Lounge, 236 Town Square Drive, Lusby, MD – Join us at Mr. C’s Cigar Lounge for our Small Business Mixer held every third Tuesday of the month from 6:30pm to 9pm. This relaxed gathering offers like-minded individuals a chance to network over cigars in a casual atmosphere. There’s no need for formal attire or agenda – just come as you are and enjoy the camaraderie. Don’t forget to arrive on time for the Monthly Gift Card raffle at 7:30pm, where you can add your newly purchased cigar label to the Lantern for a chance to win! See you at Mr. C’s!

Little Minnows: Maryland Symbols-Fish on November 21 (10:15 am & 11:15 am), located at Calvert Marine Museum, 14200 Solomons Island Road, Solomons, MD – This program is designed for children between the ages of 3 and 5, accompanied by an adult, and centers around one of the museum’s three themes. Participate in story time and create a craft, while supplies are available. Each session typically lasts between 25 and 40 minutes. To register, please visit the Admissions Desk upon your arrival. CHARLES COUNTY

Mattawoman Creek Art Center’s Holiday Market taking place every Friday through Sunday until December 15 (11 am to 4 pm), located at Mattawoman Creek Art Center in Smallwood State Park, Smallwood State Park, 2759 Sweden Point Road, Marbury, MD – Get a jump start on your holiday shopping at the Mattawoman Creek Art Center’s 2024 Holiday Market in Marbury, Maryland’s beautiful, waterside Smallwood State Park. Expertly created handcrafts include ornaments, wooden tables, stained glass, knitted items, pottery, jewelry, photography, and many other unique artworks. The market is free. Park entry fees are waived for gallery visitors.

The Shops At Waldorf Center Farmers Market taking place every Saturday through mid-November (weather permitting) (10 am to 2 pm), located at Shops at Waldorf Center, 3003 Festival Way, Waldorf, MD – Guests are encouraged to visit the Farmers Market, held in the parking lot near CAVA, to find fresh local fruits and vegetables, including strawberries, apples, oranges, asparagus, avocados and tomatoes. Additionally, there will also be local makers, soaps, honey, baked goods and flowers. Visiting the Farmers Market is free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required. Holiday Bazaar: Craft & Vendor on November 15 (10 am to 3 pm), located at Loffler Senior Activity Center, 21905 Chancellors Run Road, Great Mills, MD – The seniors have been busy creating items to sell. Find some great Fall/Thanksgiving/Christmas gifts and décor for yourself or a loved one and support local merchants! Invite your friends & family to shop with you- this event is open to the public.
