VALLEY LEE, Md. – At approximately 7:59 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, emergency crews responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Piney Point Road near Blake Creek Road.
First responders arrived to find two vehicles off the roadway with one occupant trapped and another injured. Firefighters worked swiftly, using specialized tools to extricate the trapped individual, completing the operation within 30 minutes.
Both injured occupants were evaluated at the scene before one was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital and the other patient was transported to UM Capital Region Medical Center for treatment.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and anticipate delays in the area.
