MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — A woman was airlifted with serious injuries on April 25, 2025, following a motorcycle crash at Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the raceway, located at 27861 Budds Creek Road, at approximately 5:34 p.m. for a report of a motorcycle accident on the track. First responders arrived to find a 45-year-old woman who was unable to feel her legs, according to initial dispatch reports.
Firefighters established a landing zone nearby in a field at Potomac Speedway. Maryland State Police Trooper 7 responded to the scene and transported the patient to MedStar Washington Hospital Center for treatment.
