UPDATE– St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office confirmed with TheBayNet.com that charges will not be filed in connection with a weekend dog bite in Mechanicsville.
A 4-year-old child was injured Saturday, Feb. 25 and was flown to a trauma center for treatment.
There’s no word on what will happen to the dog, which was confirmed to be a Pit Bull. A call to St. Mary’s County Animal Control has not been returned.
There’s no update on the condition of the child.
Mechanicsville Md — 8:54pm. First Responders was dispatched to a call involving a animal bite. Once arrived on the scene a four year old was located suffering from a bite in the head area from either a pitbull or a rottweiler. The child is being flown to a trauma center for treatment.
