Washington, DC –ย A U.S. Secret Service agent assigned to the White House, died Sunday, July 15 at a hospital in Glasgow, Scotland. Special Agent Nole Edward Remagen suffered a stroke while on duty Saturday evening, July 14. President Donald Trump and his entourage to Europe were visiting a golf resort at the time Remagen was stricken.

Remagen, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps prior to beginning his 19-year career with the Secret Service, was 42 and is survived by a wife and two children. His body was flown back to the U.S. President Trump met with Remagenโ€™s family at Joint Base Andrews after the plane bearing the fallen agentโ€™s body arrived back in the U.S.

โ€œOur prayers are with Special Agent Remagenโ€™s loved ones, including his wife and two young children,โ€ the president stated. โ€œWe grieve with them and with his Secret Service colleagues, who have lost a friend and a brother.โ€

Arrangements for Special Agent Nole Edward Remagen, who resided in Dunkirk, are being handled by Lee Funeral Home.
