A fire which started in the engine compartment of a 1997 Peterbilt truck in California, MD early Sunday morning resulted in $20,000 damage.

The fire was discovered by a neighbor at 8:25 a.m. Sunday, April 12 at Bean Family Lane in California. Bay District Volunteer Fire Department responded and had the blaze under control in five minutes. The fire was ruled accidental by Deputy State Fire Marshall Melissa Bean.

The truck sustained $20,000 in damage and is considered a total loss.
