Drunk in Public, Refusing to Leave Local Rescue Squad

On March 11, at 10:14 p.m., TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded to the 21000 block of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for the reported Disturbance. 

Upon arrival, contact was made with members of the Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad.  Steven Wayne Carter, 51 of Lexington Park, was asked to leave the property of the Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad and he refused.  Upon contact with Carter, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath.  Carter was ordered to leave the property and he refused by sitting down at a picnic table. 

He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.  Carter was charged with Public Intoxication.
