A home, which has not been lived in for the past 25 years, was intentionally set on fire Sunday afternoon.
Thirty five volunteer firefighters from Dunkirk, North Beach Huntingtown and Harwood-Lothian responded to the call at 12560 Southern Maryland Blvd, Dunkirk, at 3:38 p.m.
It took more than 30 minutes to control to fire, which was a significant distance from the roadway.
The investigation by Maryland Deputy State Fire Marshals revealed that the fire originated in the interior portion of the house and is ongoing. The loss was estimated at $15,000
