LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – At approximately 10:37 a.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Suburban Drive in the area of Leesa Court in Lexington Park.
Crews arrived to the scene and found the pedestrian laying in the roadway. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian has left the scene.
The female patient requires advance medical care and will be flown to a trauma center.
Maryland State Police Trooper 7 will be landing at Great Mills High School.
Use caution in the area, and stay alert for emergency vehicles.
