CALIFORNIA, Md. — We are receiving reports of a multi-vehicle accident in the area of Patuxent Beach Road.
At approximately 8:01 p.m. on September 12, first responders were called to the scene in the 45000 block of Patuxent Beach Road, in the area of Kingston Creek Road for reports of a three-car accident.
Upon arrival, crews discovered the vehicles involved in the accident, one of which had gone off the roadway.
Soon after, first responders requested assistance from the State Highway Administration, requesting sandbags to stop a fluid which had been spilled in the road following the accident.
As of now, one patient is being transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two patients involved have signed refusals for care, while one more person is being evaluated by EMS on the scene.
The road has been temporarily shut down. Expect delays and use caution if traveling in the area.
