LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — We are receiving reports of a serious motor vehicle accident that took place earlier this afternoon.
At approximately 4:21 p.m. on February 5, first responders were called to the scene in the 21000 block of Great Mills Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with injuries.
Upon arrival, crews discovered two vehicles involved in a crash, both of which were still in the roadway. When EMS crews arrived, they provided a pain management evaluation of one of the patients, and are currently consulting with the Maryland State Police Aviation to fly them to a nearby trauma center.
The patient was described by EMS on the scene as having facial injuries and a lower extremity fracture.
A landing zone has been set at Lexington Park Elementary School to make the transport.
