A pregnant woman was transported by helicopter after a crash on Route 235 in front of San Souci plaza Wednesday afternoon.
Volunteer firefighters and rescue squad members responded to the southbound lanes of 235 shortly after 1 p.m.
A female driver of pickup truck apparently pulled out of the plaza into the path of the injured woman’s minivan, causing the crash.
The patient was taken by Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad ambulance to meet Maryland State Police Trooper 7 helicopter at the hangar at St. Mary’s Airport.
