All MDOT MVA Branches/Online Services

New Laws Effective October 1/Customer Service Enhancements Require Computer System Upgrades GLEN BURNIE, MD (September 28, 2017) –  The Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MDOT MVA) will close all branch offices and Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program (VEIP) stations on Saturday, September 30, to perform necessary computer system upgrades.  The computer system upgrades are necessary for new laws effective October 1 and to implement customer service enhancements.

All 10 of MDOT MVA’s self-service VEIP kiosks will remain in service, but customers will not be able to conduct online or branch office kiosk transactions between 4:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The upgrades are necessary for MDOT MVA to comply with legislation that goes into effect on October 1, as well as make computer-based customer service enhancements. Regular branch office and VEIP station service will resume on Monday, October 2. MDOT MVA appreciates customers’ patience and understanding.
