
ST. MARY’S COUNTY, Md. – The incumbent Amy Lorenzini was elected as St. Mary’s County Circuit Court Judge during Maryland’s Presidential Primary.
Lorenzini, who was appointed by former Governor Larry Hogan in 2022, received 55.15% of the votes on the Democratic ballot and 52.94% on the Republican ballot. Meanwhile, her opponent Sue Anne Armitage received 44.85% on the Democratic ballot and 47.06% on the Republican ballot.
Approximately 14,494 voters cast a ballot for the Circuit Court Judge.

It is gratifying that the majority of Democrat and Republican voters chose qualifications over popularity and cronyism to KEEP Judge Amy. It seems that the voters were smarter that the so called โ political leadersโ who endorsed a nice, week known, well liked โCounty Girlโ who w as not where near the qualifications of Judge Amy.
its ok to feel like the qualifications an office has are what allow you to apply for it at the election board.
