ANNAPOLIS, Md. – After nearly two years of repair work, Sailor Oyster Bar is back open for business. A fire burned the pub back in June 2022 due to improperly discarded smoking materials.

GoFundMe pages were set up right after the fire, raising $110,000 for the business. The majority of that money went to support the staff. While the business has not announced anything on social media, several employees have been posting about the reopening.

Janelle Hogan posted on Facebook this morning, excited to share the news.

“Sailor Oyster Bar Reopens TODAY! I’ll be bartending downstairs alongside the returning family members! Come check out the new digs!”

A few days ago, Dan Zegas shared a picture on his Facebook page, showing that they were going over the menu one last time before they held two soft openings.

Scott and Gabrielle Herbst opened Sailor Oyster Bar, also known by the nickname, SOB back in 2016.
