PASADENA, Md. — Authorities are investigating a string of overnight commercial burglaries that occurred on December 9, 2024, across Pasadena and nearby areas, culminating in a high-speed chase and the apprehension of one suspect.
Anne Arundel County police responded to an initial report of a break-in at Kings Cleaners, located at 8101 Jumpers Hole Road, around 1:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the neighboring business, Beauty Nails, had also been burglarized.
The investigation quickly broadened, revealing additional break-ins at several other businesses, including Pizza Hut on Ritchie Highway, Turners Liquors, Pasadena Wine and Spirits, Subway on Landmark Drive, and EZ Quick Food Market on Mountain Road. Authorities have linked these incidents to a coordinated spree.
Suspect Vehicle Identified
Surveillance footage from the Pasadena Crossroads Shopping Center helped police identify a potential suspect vehicle, a black Dodge Charger with black wheels. A lookout was broadcast, and a responding officer later spotted a matching vehicle near Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled, initiating a pursuit. The chase spanned multiple highways, including I-97, MD 100, and Route 295, before the vehicle became disabled near Powder Mill Road in Prince George’s County.
Foot Chase and Arrest
Three suspects exited the disabled Dodge Charger and fled on foot. After a brief chase, police apprehended one suspect, identified as 26-year-old Kendall Demarius Walton of Washington, D.C. The two other suspects, described as males wearing dark clothing, remain at large.
A search of the vehicle, which was later confirmed to be stolen, uncovered several pieces of evidence, including a .45 caliber Glock Model 21 handgun. Investigators also found that the vehicle’s displayed registration plate was stolen and linked to another vehicle. Walton is prohibited from possessing firearms, adding further charges to his case.

Detectives from the Eastern District are continuing to investigate the burglaries and ask for public assistance. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact investigators at 410-222-6145 or the anonymous Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
