Annmarie Garden will stay open until 9 p.m. on June 12, for a special Date Night to celebrate the opening of the newest exhibit, Wild Things.  Visit the Garden before or after dinner for live music, savory treats, beer and wine, and gift shop specials.   Sample delectable treats by Kim’s Key Lime Pies.  Art always provokes great conversation – so bring your date, your pals, or come to meet new friends and fellow art enthusiasts at this fun evening affair.   

Also during Date Night, artists Mimi Little and Sarah Houde will host a reception for their show, Dog-Fish, currently on view in the Local Flavor gallery.  Meet and mingle with the artists and learn about one of their upcoming workshops inspired by their favorite wild things.

Current exhibits at Annmarie Garden include Wild Things and Sailor Made: the art of the woolie.  Wild Things, the newest exhibit, explores the anima, the vital breath or soul of animals.  Go wild as you explore this exhibit inspired by the mystique and beauty of animals. The show includes work by over 50 artists from around the country, including paintings, sculptures, digital installations, and indoor and outdoor pieces.  Sailor Made:  the art of the woolie is a unique collection of more than fifty hand-sewn ship portraits created by British sailors in the 19th century.   

Annmarie Garden’s Date Nights are the perfect stop before or after a dinner at a local restaurant.  Area restaurants pair with the Garden to give adults unique opportunities to celebrate art, meet new people, and enjoy an evening out with friends and loved ones. 

Participating restaurants include Café des Artistes, CD Café, Clarks Landing, Corbels, DiGiovannis, The Dry Dock, The Tides, and Vincenzos Restaurant at Calvert Marina.  June Date Night will be held June 12 from 6-9pm.  Cost is $3 per person.
